**************** NCTS/CTC/NTHU HEP Seminar **************** [Hybrid] Abstract: Current data on semileptonic charged- and neutral-current B decays show significant deviations from the Standard Model (SM) predictions. In particular, these flavor anomalies, if confirmed, would establish violation of lepton flavor universality in SM gauge interactions. In this talk, we will present an explanation of flavor anomalies via a minimal set of charged Higgs Yukawa interactions. The charged Higgs we consider belongs to the 2HDM without any discrete symmetry and is only a few hundred GeV in mass. Furthermore, the recently reported discrepancy in W-boson mass by CDF II can also be accounted for by NP contribution to oblique parameters, requiring the mass-spectrum of heavy neutral scalars to be in sub-TeV region as well. |
